Dave Willman invented the Safe Stop and Ghost Wheels specifically for his own use, so he could continue to use his Gold Wing and Harley as they were intended, as two wheel motorcycles. He did not want a trike or a sidecar. He and his son Steve spent 6 years designing, testing and improving a system that allowed him to ride bikes with complete freedom. The response to Safe Stop was overwhelmingly positive. Dave soon realized that many others would love to have the total control of a two-wheel ride at high speeds, and complete confidence at slow speeds, so Ghost Wheels were invented as well.

Marv Lorge was looking for a way to continue riding his motorcycle after heart surgery. He found the Safety Features wheels so overwhelmingly good that he bought the company!

Marvin and Jennifer Lorge of North Branch, Minnesota purchased Safety Features in 2003. The new facility is located in Stacy, Minnesota, about 30 miles north of Minneapolis/St. Paul. They are looking forward to servicing new and existing customers and offering support wherever needed. They are in the process of setting up installation dealers throughout the country.
